2002 Porsche Carrera 4S
The Pros:All wheel drive. Wide body.
In 2002, Porsche gave the 996-generation Carrera (911) a face-lift. The headlights changed to be more oval shaped, larger displacement engine (from 3.4 to 3.6L), and other improvments.

The Carrera 4S (some call it the C4S) for the 996-generation debuted in 2002 and remained in production until 2005.

Some specs off the top of my head:

320 hp

273 ft-lb of torque

AWD

0-60 mph in roughly 5.0 seconds

averages about 20 mpg

It's a great all around enthusiast's car. All wheel drive handling is great for the winter. Beautiful sounding exhaust (try to find one with the factory sports exhaust). Fast enough.

If you want the 4S cabriolet, it was first offered in 2003.

My previous car was a Porsche Boxster S. Although the Carrera 4S is a larger car, believe it or not, the Boxster S had more storage space due to the 2 trunks. Heavier (especially in the rear) than the Boxster S and you can feel it, but you can also feel the additional power.
